Final Call for Non-CRN Courses to be transitioned from Moodle to Canvas

Dear Staff and Faculty:
This is the third and final call for non-CRN courses to be transitioned from Moodle to Canvas.
With the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥’s move from Moodle to Canvas as its online course delivery system, we are now in the final phase of the transition for non-CRN courses (which includes non-credit, extended credit, non-instructional and training courses) to be completed by the end of December 2024.
If you were the manager or instructor of a non-CRN course in Moodle and want to continue to use that course, it needs to be transitioned to Canvas now. To make a request, please complete a Solutions Center request for a . You will have the option of either having the content from Moodle copied into a new course shell in Canvas or just getting a blank Canvas shell to start from scratch. After the request is processed, a member of the Canvas Implementation team will provide you instructions to access your content in Canvas.
We highly recommend you self-enroll in and the courses as starting points for learning Canvas and adding accessible content. If you have a non-CRN course shell that utilized UMOnline’s instructional design services previously and need additional help in the transition, please contact umonlineids@umontana.edu to indicate what help you need and learn what ID services are available to you.
Moodle will be phased out by December 31, 2024 for all non-CRN courses. If you have not already done so, please be sure to take the immediately to have your course available for continued use in Canvas to facilitate this final phase of the transition from Moodle to Canvas.
