The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Phyllis J. Washington College of Education hosted the 2024 Annual Research Symposium on Wednesday, April 24th.

This event is designed to support scholarly inquiry and ongoing research across multiple disciplines within our college. It is also a great way to network with others, practice one's presentation skills, and receive helpful feedback from peers and faculty.

We had six fantastic scholars who presented posters detailing their research or area of interest. Attendees got to stop by each poster and discuss the data founded by the presenter.

The research presented at this year's symposium was so well-done that the judges were unable to select just one winner. Congratulations to our two co-winners:

  • Connor Brandon for his research titled “Analyzing differences in middle school Ñý¼§Ö±²¥’ recess experiences, based on self-reported race and ethnicity, gender, and disability status.”
  • Lillian Martz for her research titled “Happy Groups: A single case research design evaluating a brief positive psychology intervention with adolescents.”
