Personal Summary
Fin Malone is a Master's student and Teaching Assistant in the System Ecology program. He is also a part of the Montana Climate Office, conducting research in the Watershed Hydrology lab. Fin's research focuses on spatial patterns of microclimate and forest growth by conducting field work at the Lubrecht Experimental Forest. In particular, he is interested in investigating the differential responses of trees in opposing microclimitic conditions; what links exist between water-use and growth, and how might these develop and respond under a changing climate? Aside from his interest in science, Fin writes and produces music in his free time, and takes every chance he can to take a walk outside.
