Statement of Commitment to Providing a Welcoming Environment for All
The Global Engagement Office works strategically to identify, address, and remove barriers and provide a welcoming environment for all Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ regardless of their backgrounds. Our staff actively engages with Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, faculty, and staff from various backgrounds and prioritizes the continuous development of our knowledge and cultural competence.
To benefit from those from different backgrounds on our campus, we must embrace the opportunity to learn from each other. Our commitment to providing a welcoming environment for all means treating all members of the UM community with dignity and embracing cross-cultural interactions even when they create discomfort.
