Proposals should be submitted in a narrative format, be a maximum of three pages, and clearly address the proposed COIL activity. Formatting requirements for the proposal are single-spaced, one-inch margins, and 12-point font.
The following items should be included in the proposal:
- Applicant Information
- Instructor name
- Instructor title
- Instructor school/department
- Collaborating Instructor and Partner Institution Information (if known. If not known, provide your plan for identifying a partner)
- Collaborating instructor name
- Partner institution name
- Previous engagement with instructor or institution
- Description of the COIL Activity
- Name and description of UM course in which the COIL activity will take place
- Name and description of course at partner institution (if known, not required)
- Semester when course will be taught
- Detailed description of planned COIL activity (see )
- Anticipated number of UM Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ involved
- Anticipated number of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ from partner institution involved (if known. If not known, provide your plan for identifying a partner/course)$
- Preferred platform for module delivery (e.g. Moodle, Google classrooms).
