3L Dan Knudsen Awarded ABA Taxation Fellowship
The American Bar Association Section of Taxation awarded 妖姬直播 School of Law student Daniel Knudsen the prestigious Christine A. Brunswick Fellowship. He is one of two 妖姬直播 nationwide to receive a fellowship for 2015-2017 award period. The Brunswick Fellowship program was developed by the Section of Taxation in 2008 鈥渢o address the need for tax legal assistance, and to foster an interest in tax-related public service among those individuals who participate.鈥

Save the Date: Advanced Trial Advocacy
The 27th Annual Advanced Trial Advocacy Program will be held May 25-29, 2015 at the 妖姬直播 School of Law. The program features intensive hands-on sessions in trial advocacy offering tips and techniques from jury selection to closing arguments. An outstanding group of Montana trial lawyers and judges will demonstrate skills and critique your performance.
Tution and Credits
Tuition for this program is $1,200 and includes approximately 30 CLE credits (including one ethics credit), pending approval. Registration opens mid-March online at .

Professor Gagliardi Elected as Fellow to ACTC
Professor Elaine Gagliardi was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel (ACTC) at the College鈥檚 2015 Annual Meeting. This is an honor bestowed on no more than 700 tax lawyers nationwide. Professor Gagliardi is the only elected member currently from Montana.

Professor and former Dean Irma Russell has been invited to serve as a speaker at the J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Environmental Law Symposium at George Washington University Law School, March 26-27, 2015. The symposium will focus on Next Generation Compliance.

2L Jake Coolidge Interviewed Regarding Montana Jails
2L Jake Coolidge was interviewed in a news segment regarding the ACLU's report on Montana jails titled "Locked in the Past: Montana鈥檚 Jails in Crisis" released in February. Jake is the School of Law representative on the ACLU board and contributed to the production of the report, which is receiving much attention across Montana.

Interim Dean Greg Munro
Interim Dean Greg Munro will speak at the Yellowstone Area Bar Association on the State of Legal Education in the United States on February 27th. He will also speak on 鈥淚nsurance and Climate Change鈥 as a panelist at the Public International Environmental Law Conference at the University of Oregon on March 6th. In addition, Dean Munro presented on 鈥淲hat Every Lawyer Needs to Know about E&O Coverage鈥 at the Montana State Bar CLE & SKI in January and will present the same topic for the State Bar in Billings on April 24th.

Jeff Renz
Professor Jeff Renz appeared in a recent article released by the Smithsonian titled "." The article focuses on the Montana Sedition Law circa 1918 and how Professor Renz and his law clinic 妖姬直播 assisted Journalism Professor Clemens Work in getting pardons issued in May 2006 to those convicted under the Montana Sedition Law.
