Judge Sidney Thomas to Deliver Browning Lecture
Chief Judge Sidney R. Thomas of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will present the annual James R. Browning Lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at the University Center Ballroom at the ֱ.
The James R. Browning Distinguished Lecture in Law brings nationally renowned legal minds to Missoula to discuss timely issues in the law. The title of Thomas’ lecture is “Judge James R. Browning: His Legacy for Montana and the Future of the Federal Judiciary.”

Environmental Moot Court Team Places in Top 3 Nationally
Katelyn Hepburn (3L), Lindsey West (2L) and Hannah Cail (2L) competed against Vermont Law School and the University of Mississippi in the final round of Pace’s 2015 Environmental Law Moot Court Competition in February. The last time the ֱ competed in the final round was in 2005.

Mediation Team Finishes Third and Fourth
The ֱ School of Law sent two teams to the Southeast Regional Representation in Mediation Competition in Gainesville, Florida on February 21 and 22. The competition was hosted by the University of Florida Levin College of Law. The team pairs placed third and fourth in their respective competitions.

Montana Supreme Court Oral Argument

The justices of the Supreme Court of Montana hold a hearing on campus each year at the invitation of the School of Law. The hearing is open to ֱ and the public. The case will be introduced by Professor Pippa Browde.

Interim Dean Greg Munro will speak at the State Bar Family Law CLE in Billings on April 24, 2015 on "What Every Lawyer Should Know ֱ Errors and Omissions Insurance Coverage."
Michelle Bryan
Professor Bryan will speak in an ABA Water Law Webinar titled "Water Law 101" on April 8. The webinar will cover the basic legal doctrines that govern surface water use and groundwater use in the United States. In addition, Professor Bryan was interviewed in an NBC Montana segment recently titled "Missoula aims to rewrite history in upcoming trial."
