Dear UM Community,
Tomorrow is Veterans Day, a national remembrance that resonates deeply within the UM community and the 1,400 veterans and military-affiliated members of our campus.
This week we honor those who served our country through a series of on-campus events, panels, competitions and gatherings. It has been inspiring to see our campus participate in these events to support our veterans and military-affiliated Ñý¼§Ö±²¥.
This support is just one of the many reasons we’ve earned a national reputation for being one of the most military friendly universities in the country. We continually work together to support programs that foster success for these Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ who mean so much to our campus.
Although our campus is closed tomorrow to celebrate Veterans Day, there are still events that you can participate in to show your continued support:
- : 5-8 p.m. Friday @ PEAK Health and Wellness Center.
- : 7 p.m. Friday @ Main Hall
- : 1 p.m. Saturday @ Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
I want to express my personal gratitude for each veteran who makes up our UM community. As we continue to grow and expand our Military and Veteran Services Office under the leadership of Patrick Beckwith, I am incredibly optimistic that UM will welcome more service-oriented Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ to campus in the years ahead.
Go Griz.
Seth
