Personal Summary
Philip Nordeck, OTD, OTR/L is the inaugural Capstone Coordinator for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. He earned his clinical doctorate in occupational therapy from Rocky Mountain College in 2021 and previously served as the Capstone Coordinator for its OTD program from 2021 to 2024.
Philip's professional interests center on the intersection of occupational therapy and sleep, nature-based therapy, and the role of occupational therapy in addressing climate change. He has worked as both a pediatric and mental health occupational therapist, bringing a holistic and client-centered approach to his practice.
A passionate educator, Philip is dedicated to the transformative power of occupational therapy and higher education. Outside of academia, he enjoys hiking, cycling, and exploring the outdoors with his wife, Amanda—who is also faculty in the occupational therapy department—and their dog.
Philip is a proud Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in Costa Rica from 2014 to 2016 as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) volunteer.
