How to Participate
Whether you bike, bus, walk, rollerblade, or even paddleboard, any sustainable, non-solo car commute to campus counts! Detailed instructions for how to use Way to Go! are available here.
Why Participate?
Commuting sustainably helps reduce carbon emissions, improves air quality, and can save you money! Also, between all the concerts, closures, and new student experiences happening on campus, parking is going to be a challenge these next few weeks. You might as well get rewards for commuting without a car when you are going to have to do it anyway!

Additional Info
What Counts as a Commute?
The EcoCommute Contest focuses on travel to and from the University for any reason—school, work, concerts, sporting events, or extracurriculars.
What is a Sustainable Commute?
A sustainable commute includes carpooling, biking, walking, skateboarding, e-mobility (e.g., scooters, one-wheels, hoverboards), and riding the bus. Basically, anything but a solo drive.
Can I commute on a motorcycle?
Riding a motorcycle does not count as a sustainable commute because it is an emissions-emitting solo mode of transport.
