Requesting Academic Records
U.S. Institutions only
Request that official transcripts be sent directly to UM Undergraduate Admissions from your institution. We also accept transcripts through the following electronic delivery services: Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, Joint Services Transcript. See delivery instructions for Transfer Transcripts.
International Institutions
All applicants to Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ undergraduate programs who have attended secondary school and/or university outside the U.S. are required to have their academic records (diplomas, transcripts, mark sheets, exam results, etc.) evaluated by an approved credential evaluation service.
An official evaluation is required before UM Admissions can make an admission decision, review for merit scholarship, or evaluate university courses for transfer credit.
Special note for UM Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ studying abroad:
All UM Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ who pursue non-UM affiliated programs abroad must have their coursework evaluated by an approved credential evaluation service. Current UM Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ who attend programs abroad that are not offered through UM partner or ISEP institutions must comply with this requirement. The Admissions Office does not pre-approve non-UM affiliated international programs. For information on Study Abroad credit evaluation visit the Global Engagement Office website.
Please note that transfer credit from non-UM affiliated programs abroad is not guaranteed. Transfer credit is awarded based on the credential evaluation report, which indicates accreditation, credit number, grades, and any degrees earned. UM does not award transfer credit from non-accredited institutions or programs.
