The Teacher Preparation in General Science track within the Biology major provides Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ with coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and mathematics needed to be certified by the State of Montana in broad-field science. This allows Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ to teach secondary science--biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science (in middle school and high schools). This option is appropriate for Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ interested in teaching all of the sciences in smaller, more rural schools. In order to be licensed to teach secondary science, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ must be admitted to the through the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences.
