UM Electronics Recycling and Surplus
UM Electronics Recycling and Surplus
UM’s E-Recycling Program is in place to assist campus faculty and staff in the removal of electrical devices that are no longer required in your office or department. If you have items that have reached the end of their useful lives, have been replaced, or are no longer used, our E-Recycling Program can make sure these items are:
- All personally identifiable information (Pll) and sensitive information is erased or destroyed from hard drives and data holding sources.
- When possible, usable items can be reissued and to other departments for campus use.
- All items that have reached the end of their useful life are packaged and sent to a regional R2 Certified e-recycler that processes the materials in accordance with stringent environmental and social guidelines to minimize the negative effects of electronics recycling.
To schedule removal of electronics from your office, classroom, or department, please fill out the following form with complete information to help us determine the condition and handling of the items that need to be picked up.
