Montana Child Welfare Training Partnership
The Center collaborates with the Montana Child and Family Services Division (CFSD) to provide Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ with financial support and a path to employment through the Montana Child Welfare Training Partnership. Stipends are awarded to undergraduate and graduate Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ interested in experience working in public child welfare after graduation
Students are trained to understand the needs of high-risk children and their families, and develop skills to ensure that the needs of those families are adequately addressed. The knowledge and skills gained from this program create well-trained professionals, able to assume the professional roles and responsibilities required of a social worker.
Key elements of the Center's commitment to Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ include:
- Advanced training and preparation
- Financial support
- Employment obligation
- Career development and support through a practicum experience
