Information on Tiered Rates

To maintain and improve our instrumentation facility, usage fees will be assessed for all users, both internal and external. The rates for internal users are reviewed yearly by the Department of Chemistry facilities committee. Internal users will be given advance notice of any changes to this system.

Peak hours—( 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday)
Off-hours—(6:00 pm - 8:00 am, Monday - Friday / Weekends)
User time is assessed by the NMR spectrometer use time. For instance, if a user reserved the system for 1 hours but completes the work in 45 minutes, they will only be billed for 45 minutes. Users are encouraged to finalize their work within the time reserved and leave the lab promptly so that the next user will be able to use the lab immediately. Final monthly billing will be rounded up to the nearest quarter hour.
