Prospective Students
General Information for Prospective Students:
Thank you for your interest in joining my lab at the Montana Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit. Graduate positions in my lab are typically filled through a competitive application process as funding becomes available. If you have secured your own funding (e.g., through an NSF fellowship), I’d be happy to discuss how your research interests might align with our work.
When funded opportunities arise, I will post position details publicly here on our website and on job boards including to ensure broad outreach. As such, general inquiries about upcoming openings are not necessary.
I am particularly interested in working with Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ who have a strong work ethic, experience conducting wildlife research, proficiency with large datasets, excellent interpersonal skills, and expertise in R coding and GIS. Experience with publishing in peer-reviewed journals is a plus. A high level of motivation to contribute to wildlife ecology and conservation is also key.
I receive many emails and meeting requests from prospective Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. While I greatly appreciate the interest, I am unable to meet individually with all prospective applicants outside of formal interview processes. Thank you for your understanding, and I wish you the best in your academic and professional pursuits.
