CutBank/Oval
The literary journal publishes two print issues a year of compelling poetry, fiction, and literary nonfiction by established writers and new voices alike. Writers who got their start in CutBank include Andrew Sean Greer, Matthew Rohrer, Mary Ruefle, and more. Founded in 1973 by the Creative Writing Program at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and managed by MFA Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, CutBank also runs writing contests, prints chapbooks, and publishes interviews and other content online.

The Oval is the undergraduate literary magazine of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. Submissions, editing, marketing, design, and distribution are all handled by UM undergraduates who take a course together each spring.
The Oval's Spring 2024 Book Launch will take place Monday, April 29th at 6 PM.
