Campus Recreation employs 125+ Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ across diverse program areas each semester. Each job offers opportunities to learn skills, advance, meet new friends and get more involved in collegiate recreation, sports and fitness.
Work hours are always scheduled around your classes. Plus, we accept work-study, and some positions could fulfill requirements for an academic internship.

Facilities
- Front desk and Equipment Desk Attendants (not currently hiring): Student Facility Staff are front line representatives of the Fitness & Recreation Center. Desk attendants will provide customer service, monitor turnstile Griz Card access, manage cash collection, direct phone calls, oversee equipment/towel checkout and conduct daily cleaning duties. - Student Maintenance (not currently hiring): Student Maintenance Staff perform light janitorial duties during operational hours at the Fitness & Recreation Center. Duties consist primarily of wiping down and cleaning cardio and weight room equipment, as well as window and mirror cleaning. Days and hours can be flexible in order to fit class schedules, etc.
- Custodian (not currently hiring): (Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and non-Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ are eligible): Custodians at the Fitness & Recreation Center perform janitorial duties at both the FRC and the Grizzly Pool alongside our professional janitorial crew during non-operational hours. Work shifts are 8pm-midnight with flexibility in scheduled work days in order to fit personal schedules.

Administration
- Office Assistant: The Campus Recreation Office Assistant plays a crucial role in the Administrative Office for the Fitness & Recreation Center. Responsibilities include daily accounting, deposit tasks, data entry, and maintaining a clean and organized office space. Additional duties and projects may be assigned as needed, providing opportunities to learn and contribute to the Campus Recreation operation.

Marketing
- Social Media Student Worker (not currently hiring): Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus Recreation is seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Student Worker to assist in managing and growing Campus Recreation’s online presence. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ interested in social media, marketing, and event promotion, while contributing to the promotion of Campus Recreation programs, events, and services. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organized, and able to collaborate with a team to create engaging content that enhances the visibility and engagement of Campus Recreation on various platforms.

Intramural Sports
- Intramural Official: An Intramural sports official is the foremost individual in the Intramural sports program. Persons selected for these positions must demonstrate above average knowledge of the rules and officiating procedures of the game, be capable of controlling difficult game situations, and, without bias, be able to enforce the rules of the game. They should maintain a positive attitude on-site and should always be striving to improve their officiating skills. Click here to apply!

Grizzly Pool
- Lifeguard: Providing direct supervision over the entire pool area, lifeguards maintain lifeguard skills through in-service and training. They follow and enforce all Grizzly Pool rules, regulations and policies. Successful applicants will receive Lifeguard certification training. Click here to apply!
- Swim Instructor: Swim instructors teach swim lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels according to Grizzly Pool standards and guidelines. They follow and enforce all pool rules and policies. Applicants must have current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Click here to apply!

Fitness Programs
- Fitness Instructor: Certified Fitness instructors serve Campus Recreation participants by providing fun, effective, and safe fitness classes every week! Group Fitness Instructors advance the mission of Campus Recreation by preparing and facilitating exercise experiences within several different formats including, Mind & Body, Cycling, HIIT, Strength, Dance, and Cardio. - Personal Trainer: Certified Personal Trainers serve Campus Recreation participants by designing individualized training programs tailored to the health and fitness goals of their clients. Outdoor Program
- Front Desk: Employees of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Outdoor program are responsible for helping and signing customers up to rent outdoor equipment, classes, trip, and answer questions related to the center. In addition, Outdoor Program staff is responsible for cleaning and maintaining rental equipment along with the department itself. Employees can also be guides, trip leaders, and educators dealing with rafting, kayaking, skiing, rock climbing, backpacking, camping, and biking. University Golf Course

Youth Camps
- Assistant Director: Assist the Camp Director in the design and implementation of Youth Camps at The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ through the Campus Recreation department. Actively participate and supervise the overall daily camp operations. Hire, supervise, and, train camp Lead Instructors and Counselors. Collaborate with the Director and Lead Instructors to develop and administer a comprehensive camp designed to provide an opportunity for children and teens to explore a variety of non-motorized recreational opportunities. Assist in developing the overall policies, guidelines, and procedures and work to administer a consistent method to enforce them. - Lead Counselor: Assist in planning Youth Camps, at The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ through the Campus Recreation department. Support marketing and counselor recruitment efforts. Lead the hiring and training of counseling staff. Assist in improving and expanding the existing curriculum, policies, guidelines, and procedures. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all staff and participants. Work as a team with camp director, assistant directors, two other lead counselors, counselors, and other Campus Recreation staff. Supervise and assist counselors throughout the camp day, assuring safety, smooth transitions, and successful activities. Encourage and support campers and parents in feeling welcome.
