Connecting educators across Montana...
Students at and will be provided the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ without having to leave their communities.
Through these partnerships, UM will offer the third and fourth years of study via a combination of distance learning and face-to-face classes taught by UM faculty. Students will engage in classroom experiences with tenure-track instructors from the nationally accredited Phyllis J. Washington College of Education. Students in this program will earn the same bachelor’s degree as Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ physically located on the main UM campus, without the financial burden of travel, relocation, or residency costs.
The academic advisors in the Department of Teaching and Learning will help walk Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ through the application process, and program prerequisites. Students who wish to participate in this cohort program must apply to the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and the UM Teacher Education Program (TEP), concurrently, in the spring semester only. TEP application deadline is February 15th.
