Ecosystem and Conservation Sciences

The Department of Ecosystem and Conservation Sciences (DECS) provides Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ with instruction and expertise in a diverse array of ecological and biophysical sciences. As a multidisciplinary department, we bring together faculty with academic training in fire science, watershed hydrology, insects and diseases, soil science, plant physiology and wildlife biology. DECS is a rigorous, stimulating and inspirational environment for undergraduate through doctoral Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ to learn about ecosystem processes and ecological functions in a biologically diverse and scenic setting.
