Faculty-Directed Programs
In a faculty-led program, you will study, live, travel and explore cultures and historic sites with usually other UM Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ (or sometimes with Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ from other universities) while earning UM credits. In most cases, you will have the advantage of learning from a UM faculty member who specializes in the program’s subject of study. These programs provide educational experiences that promote mutual understanding, cultural competency, intellectual development, and contribute to a global-minded community.
While some programs are offered every year or every other year, others may be offered periodically or be one-time opportunities. Programs may last anywhere from a couple weeks to a semester during Spring, Summer, or Winter terms. Some programs may have prerequisites. Please contact the Education Abroad Office with any questions you may have.
Because faculty-directed programs can change every year, we consider these opportunities our "Featured Programs." Featured Programs are noted with a star in our public catalog. This will help you search and see if there is an upcoming faculty-directed adventure that is right for you!
