Proposal evaluation process
Proposals will be evaluated and ranked by the International Committee based on the criteria below. The generated ranking will be forwarded to the Office of the Provost. Final funding decisions rest with the Provost, who reserves the right to request a revised budget in cases where proposals are not funded at the full requested amount.
Criteria
Applications will be evaluated and ranked based on the merit of the proposed broader impact of the project on the UM community and the host institution. The broader impact component may be focused on any of the following areas: teaching, scholarship or service as pertinent to the applicant’s expertise.
Guidelines:
- Impact on teaching or curricular development at UM and/or the partnering institution may be demonstrated by pedagogical enrichment, course proposals, syllabi changes, thesis or dissertation supervision, and related outputs
- Impact on scholarship, research and/or creative activities at UM and/or the partnering institution may be demonstrated by referred publications, grant proposals, contracts, presentations, or opportunities for collaboration with and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate Ñý¼§Ö±²¥.
- Impact on service at UM and/or the partnering institution may be demonstrated by local articles, speeches, outreach, etc.)
