Environmental Philosophy
Philosophy at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ is an exceptional department within an exceptional environmental institution. In addition to the world-class W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation, the University has many highly-regarded programs including , Environmental Studies, Native American Studies and Environmental Journalism. We also have a strong tradition in environmental writing and an active program in ethics and public affairs. There is a continual stream of readings, lectures, conferences, and events on campus related to environmental issues.
Missoula itself occupies a beautiful location at the nexus of five valleys. It is home to numerous environmental organizations, state and federal natural resource agencies, poets, writers, environmental educators, and advocates.
Our Master's program makes the most of these home field advantages to offer a contemporary program of engaged and applied philosophy.
