Native News Honors Project
The Native News Honors Project is reported, photographed, edited and designed by students of the University of Montana School of Journalism. Each year, teams of print and photojournalism Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ travel to Montana's seven Indian reservations to investigate and document in-depth stories on a single topic of importance to the state's Native population. These stories appear in a publication that is distributed throughout the state and online.
In 2019, the project published its 28th edition, "Traces," which covered the missing and murdered indigenous women crisis. The issue was a finalist for .
