The UM Drug Information Service is a free resource for health care professionals. Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and allied health practitioners in all areas of medicine are invited to contact us with questions of a non-emergent nature. The service does not field calls from the general public.
The state of Montana uses the Rocky Mountain Poison Control Center (800) 525-5040 for emergency toxicological ingestion information for both the lay public and health care providers.
Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ in their final year of the professional pharmacy program participate in four-week experiential rotations at the Drug Information Service. Training is provided in database utilization, effective web searching, and evaluating the medical literature.
