Our maximum capacity for public events is 28. Please purchase your tickets well in advance, as our shows can sell out quickly. Tickets are not sold at the door. Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your show, as there is no admittance once the show begins. Please note the acoustics of our planetarium dome are extremely sensitive, and we ask that all patrons refrain from conversing during shows. While our events are open to all, we recommend children be of age 7 and above for public events.

The Disappearing Rings of Saturn
Our favorite ringed planet, Saturn, has a lengthy 29-year orbital period around the sun. In a given orbit, it will experience a pair of equinoxes and a pair of solstices. Saturn’s seasonal cycles have a dramatic impact on the appearance of its rings -- as seen from Earth. Join us for an exploration of Saturn’s ever-changing aesthetics, along with some projections and a discussion of the long-term future of the rings themselves. (Spoiler alert: The rings won’t last forever! But fear not, as they’re not going away in our lifetime…)
