What is Pi Sigma Alpha?
Founded in 1920 at the University of Texas, Pi Sigma Alpha is the national honor society for political science graduate and undergraduate Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. Pi Sigma Alpha has more than 600 chapters in colleges and universities in the United States.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥â€™s Chapter Epsilon Mu
Founded in 1969, Epsilon Mu is the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha. Epsilon Mu is one of the most active honors groups at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥.
The organization participates in a wide variety of events, such as organizing political debates and policy forums, holding career days for political science Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, and an annual banquet with a prominent political speaker each spring. Epsilon Mu has received national recognition for its activities. It has won the Best Chapter Award nine times from the National Office of Pi Sigma Alpha (1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2012 and 2017) and Best Chapter Advisor Awards in 1998 and 2004. Epsilon Mu has also been awarded a variety of grants from the National Office of Pi Sigma Alpha. There is a one-time fee to join the honorary.
