Bachelors Communicative Sciences Disorders
A foundation in communication.
Graduates of the School of Speech, Language, Hearing, & Occupational Sciences will leave with a strong foundational knowledge base in language, speech, hearing development, social and behavioral communications. In addition, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ will have a solid basis to effectively work with individuals with acquired and developmental disorders related to speech, language and hearing. An undergraduate degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders prepares Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ to go on to seek graduate degrees in speech-language pathology and audiology, as well as related medical and educational fields such as, linguistics, education, psychology, neurosciences, and physical or occupational therapy.
Depending on whether a student has completed general education requirements, the core CSD courses of the Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD) can be completed in 2 years (CSD courses only with general education completed) or spread out over a traditional 4-year period.
