Transcript Options
Some programs require official transcripts before review of applications and others do not. Please contact the program to find out their requirements.
The Graduate School requires a minimum of your bachelor's degree awarded transcript upon your admission to any graduate program, including non-degree seeking. If at the time of your admission your official bachelor's degree awarded transcript has not been recieved, a registration hold will be put on your account until it is received.
For transcripts to be considered official, they must be sent directly to us from your previous university, or through a third party vendor such as National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment.
If your bachelor's degree is still in progress at the time of your admission, please wait to order your official transcript until your bachelor's degree has been officially conferred. A transcript with in-progress work is not sufficent to remove your transcript hold, and you will be required to reorder. Your bachelor's degree must be awarded before you begin your graduate program.
If your bachelor's degree was awarded by UM, you will not need to order an official transcript unless your program requests it, as we can access this information internally.
International Transcripts: In most cases, a transcript evaluation will be necessary. We will accept an evaluation from any current member of the . Below are the most common evaluations we receive.
