School of Law and Graduate Students
Current law and graduate Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ may register for courses as they normally would through . Program courses are offered through the School of Extended and Lifelong Learning (SELL) at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. Students must take at least six credits to qualify for financial aid in the summer term. In addition, tuition waivers may not apply to the fees for summer courses.
Prerequisite Standards
Law Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ taking a course other than Indian Law Research or Mastering Indian Law must have taken a foundational or basic course in Federal Indian or Tribal Law or must also be taking Mastering Indian Law this summer. The director of the program may waive this standard upon a showing of good cause such as significant prior experience in Indian or tribal law or similar qualifications.
Visiting Students
In order to participate in the Summer Indian Law Program, a law student currently enrolled at another institution must fill out a summer application for admission. Our admissions office processes these applications and notifies each student of their status. Admitted Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ will be automatically notified when summer registration opens and instructed how to enroll in Summer Indian Law Program courses.

Continuing Legal Education
Approved by the Montana CLE Commission, each course will yield 5 credits (asynchronous remote) or 13.75 credits (all other courses) Montana CLE credits for current legal practitioners. Names of those attending for CLE credit will be submitted to the State Bar of Montana. Attendance at all sessions of the week's course is required for full CLE credit. .
