Secondary Educator Fellowship
This four-day fellowship, running from June 23–26, is designed for high school social studies teachers, particularly those teaching government. Led by Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ political science and history professors, the fellowship will equip educators with the knowledge and strategies to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American democracy in their classrooms. Sessions will focus on foundational documents and innovative approaches to teaching American values to the next generation.
Unlike most professional development opportunities, the Secondary Educator Fellowship is fully funded, providing participants with an all-expenses-paid experience, a $600 stipend, and 40 OPI renewal credits.
Experiential Learning + Community Building
This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow educators from across Montana, united by a shared mission to cultivate informed, engaged, and responsible citizens. Participants will collaborate in teams to integrate democratic principles into middle and high school curricula. Beyond readings and classroom discussions, the fellowship emphasizes community building through shared experiences—hiking, communal meals, lodging together in Pantzer Hall, and even whitewater rafting on the Alberton Gorge. The fellowship is limited to 14 participants.
