SENIOR RECOGNITION
Please join us Friday, May 12, 2017, at 1 pm in the Dennison Theatre.
The President’s Outstanding Senior Recognition Awards are sponsored annually by the UM Penetralia Chapter of Mortar Board. This is the 29th year of the Senior Recognition ceremony. This Senior Recognition Award is presented to outstanding graduating seniors in academic areas and University-recognized organizations. Students are chosen on the basis of academic performance in addition to devotion to the excellence of their departments and The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. One senior from each department and each organization will be honored with an engraved medallion and award certificate at the ceremony held traditionally on the Friday before Commencement.
Students are nominated by their department or ASUM-recognized organization in the spring based on the following criteria:
- The student must graduate within the 2016-2017 academic year, graduation papers filed covering the Fall 2016-Summer 2017 academic year. Note: Fall 2017 graduation meets next year’s criteria.
- The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time the nomination form is submitted.
- The student must demonstrate a commitment to his or her academic discipline or student organization through professional development, leadership and service.
The nomination submission deadline is March 17, 2017 (late submissions will not be accepted).
Applications for nominations are now available. If you would like to know more information about the Senior Recognition program, please contact student coordinators Kiana Rief and Tori Lassettre at montana@mortarboard.org.
