Attendees
The UM community and general public are invited to attend UMCUR, showcasing undergraduate research, creative scholarship, and experiential-learning projects.
Presentations and performances will take place on , at the University Center (UC). Light morning and afternoon snacks are provided for conference attendees on the UC's third floor. Participants can experience a lunch gathering with actors and a dinner film screening and discussion of the award-winning documentary . Conference presenters and performers must reserve a lunch or dinner spot via by no later than March 31. All other interested attendees should RSVP on Griz Hub with their or interest, also by March 31.
UMCUR is free and open to the public. No conference registration is required for attendees who are not presenting or performing; however, for large, greater-than-10-person groups, please contact catalina.deonis@umontana.edu in advance.
Program
A preliminary conference program, including participant names, project titles, and session times and locations, is available on the main UMCUR webpage. Abstract and artist's statement submissions will be available a few days before UMCUR via ScholarWorks. During UMCUR, the final conference program will be available via ScholarWorks.
Session Types
Oral presentations: Students present their projects during a 15-minute oral presentation, followed by a question and answer period. Presentations are part of a one-hour session of similarly-focused projects.
Poster presentations: Students present their work via posters and engage in one-on-one or small-group discussions. The morning and afternoon poster sessions each last one hour.
Performances: Students perform music, theater, literary arts, and dance pieces. These performances take place in the UC and in the School of Music's Recital Hall.
